ABOUT JKA PAKISTAN

The Japan Karate Association (JKA) Pakistan has been dedicated to the promotion and development of authentic JKA Karate in the country. As a non-profit organization, it strives to uphold the integrity and vision of Master Gichin Funakoshi, carried forward by Masters Masatoshi Nakayama, Motokuni Sugiura, Ueki Masaaki, and Takeshi Oishi. This includes adhering to the principles and guidelines set forth in the Dojo Kun and Niju Kun.

JKA Pakistan practices the traditional Shotokan style of karate, emphasizing authenticity and excellence. Its mission is to propagate and preserve the legacy of Master Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of Shotokan Karate, while providing high-quality instruction to its members, particularly young people.

The organization prioritizes not only the physical development of its students—enhancing flexibility, stamina, and strength through self-defense techniques and exercises—but also the cultivation of strong character, aligning with the ethos of "seeking perfection of character."

JKA Pakistan actively participates in prestigious international events, including the JKA World Championships, Asia-Oceania Karate Championships, Asia-Oceania Conferences, and JKA World Karate training camps. Domestically, it hosts the annual National JKA Championships and organizes training seminars led by instructors from JKA Headquarters.

A notable event in JKA Pakistan's history was the All Pakistan Pak-Japan Golden Jubilee JKA Karate Championship held in Quetta in 2002. This event was organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Japan. Senior officials from the Japanese Embassy, the Consul General of Japan, and high-ranking officials from the Government of Pakistan attended this auspicious occasion.

JKA Pakistan operates under the central coordination of its headquarters in Quetta and functions across all four provinces of Pakistan—Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Punjab, and Sindh. The organization is led by its President and Chief Instructor, Sensei Hussain Ali Changezi.
